Karin Witte
Sometimes similar to dancing
The Museum of Art and Cultural History Schloss Gottorf shows a special exhibition of works by the Hamburg artist Karin Witte at the Cismar Monastery. Her vision of the world is spontaneous, her observations stimulated by the unexpected and sometimes unexpected. In her paintings, Karin Witte fluctuates between figuration and abstraction. Her method moves between spontaneity and calculation and is sometimes similar to dancing. The exhibition at Cismar monastery, which was formed in close collaboration with the artist, provides insights into central topical fields which have been processed and developed with considerable insistence by the artist for several years.
